What a pleasant surprise today! We received a thoughtful thank you card from the pediatric ward at Lowell General Hospital. We are so happy to know our all our hard work to create our March Pillowcase Madness pillowcases is greatly appreciated. Your welcome to everyone on the Lowell General Hospital pediatric ward staff and to the happy children with a new pillowcase.

The Buffaloes Are Coming →
That's right, the buffaloes are coming...to congregate on a quilt top. The studio design wall is already filling up with buffalo designs and templates. Here's some fabric color samples for our newest quilt project.
This particular quilt project is being created for a Wood Badge Quartermaster. The fabric colors chosen for this quilt are based on the MacLaren tartan. Where do the buffalo come in? Wood Badge has eight different representative "critters": beaver, bobwhite, eagle, fox, owl, bear, buffalo and antelope. Don't forget to check back for more updates on this project.

Here is a photo of the latest baby quilt we have sewn. Such fun fabric featuring: Thor, Ironman, the Hulk and Captain American. We really love how the black fabric makes the heroes "pop" has they tell a story across the quilt top. Really fun!

MARCH PILLOWCASE MADNESS
If you don't already know, we at Needle & Design signed up in the beginning of the month to compete in the March Pillowcase Madness (MPM). The MPM competition is put on by American Patchwork and Quilting. Has the name suggest, the MPM competition is a pillowcase-making contest. All pillowcases made will be donated to charities. Our pillowcases will be donated to Lowell General Hospital for children in the pediatric ward staying long-term.
